MicroVest was founded in 2003 by Cooperative for Development Relief Everywhere (CARE), Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA) and Seed Capital Development Fund (SCDF) and is headquartered in the Washington, DC metro area.   MicroVest operates under the belief that commercial investment is the best mechanism to achieve market financial returns to investors and positive impact on the developing world.

MicroVest is experienced in financing institutions at various stages, from start up NGOs to regulated banks. The range of senior debt, quasi equity and equity products available through the MicroVest family of funds enables us to customize financial solutions for our portfolio companies and build long-lasting relationships.
