Sandra Hamilton, Fitch Ratings, presents at an IAMFI Connect meeting in Amsterdam
Fitch Ratings, a leading global rating agency, has collaborated with IAMFI to disseminate their research on microfinance in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Through teleconferences and IAMFI Connect meetings in London and Amsterdam, Fitch Ratings has shared their research on topics including Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) in Bosnia, Colombia and Nicaragua, the role of MFI networks in providing institutional support and the impact of the global financial crisis on microfinance. The teleconferences and meetings give IAMFI members and guests new knowledge and the opportunity to engage in dialogue on timely industry topics.

"I am very proud to say that IAMFI is one of the founding clients of the International Transactions Clinic (ITC), which was launched in the fall of 2008 at the University of Michigan Law School. Working for IAMFI has offered the ITC a way to support the microfinance investment community. Moreover, having a client like IAMFI has given our ITC students a firsthand opportunity to hone those legal research and analytical skills that are necessary for identifying issues that enabling legal and regulatory regimes can raise for current and potential investors in microfinance."
